The FIDIS system, based on the xMAP® technology, offers high throughput analysis power. It allows simultaneous and specific detection of multiple analytes from the same sample in a single assay.  Compared to the conventional IFA or ELISA format, the FIDIS technology and its automation on the CARIS platform allows the laboratory to perform analysis more rapidly and at lower cost than with conventional kit formats and with optimum reliability.

Theradiag has developed a comprehensive range of commercially available tests developed on xMAP technology for the diagnosis of auto-immune pathologies and also continues to offer a extended panel in infectious serology, and for the measurement of human cytokines.

The FIDIS technology bases

The FIDIS technology is based on the use of uniform sized microspheres of different colors (red to infrared) with bead-bound antigens that are analysed simultaneously. This technology allows the measurement of more than 100 analytes per sample in a single well.

The samples are diluted and mixed with the microspheres. Specific antibodies, if present, are bound to the coated antigens. Their revelation is made using a phycoerythrin conjugate.

The samples are analysed using the FIDIS flow cytometer. Each analyte is identified using two lasers, which identify the colored signature of each bead and quantify the ratio of analytes bound to it.


MLx Booster: FIDIS dedicated driver software

Equipped with a user friendly and easy-to-use interface, MLx Booster analyses and validates results along with batch and history management. The software’s connection to the CARIS systems and to the SIL allow a total integration of the FIDIS system.

Complete traceability is ensured at each step of the analysis, from the positive identification of patients to the analysis itself and the transmission of the results via the LIS.

The CARISµ automated system offers the same safety, modularity and reliability as the 4 needle system, but in a more compact format. It is intended for laboratories with moderate activity.
